Retro Vault Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Retro Vault processes information when you use the app.

1. App and ROM files

• Retro Vault is a local emulator for FC / GG / GBC games.
• The app displays built-in content and supports user-initiated ROM import, favorites, recently played records, and launching games.
• When you choose a ROM to import, the file is processed on your device to read, organize, cache, and launch it. We do not upload the contents of user-imported ROM files to servers we own.
• Retro Vault does not provide accounts or cloud storage for user ROM files.

2. Information stored on your device

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

• file access information needed when you actively choose files to import;
• language and other app preferences;
• favorites and recently played records;
• game cover and preview caches; and
• advertising frequency-control information, such as local cooldowns and display counts.

You can remove imported ROM files from within the app. You can also clear the app's data in Android system settings or uninstall the app to remove local app data.

3. Advertising and Firebase services

Retro Vault includes the following third-party SDKs. Their processing is subject to their respective privacy practices.

• Google Mobile Ads may process the advertising identifier, device and network information, ad requests, and ad interactions. This supports ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, attribution, and fraud prevention.
• Firebase Analytics may process app interaction and usage events, device information, and app version information for aggregated product analysis.
• Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs, diagnostic information, device information, and app version information so we can investigate stability issues and improve the app.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a push notification registration token and delivery metadata to deliver notifications.

4. Permissions and device capabilities

• INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE are used for network connectivity checks, advertising requests, Firebase services, and opening network resources.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE may be used to improve network-environment compatibility.
• WAKE_LOCK helps avoid interruption while a game is running.
• VIBRATE is used for interaction feedback.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS allows Android to show notifications when you grant permission.

5. Children

Retro Vault is a tool application and is not specifically directed to children.
